For this session, Joe Castello and Lake Speed Jr sit down with a panel of representatives from Edelbrock / Comp Cams, Liberty Performance Parts, Straub Technologies, CWT Industries and Total Seal to talk about the challenges created by the Covid shutdown supply chain disruptions and how they’re overcoming them.
The guys discuss how they’re dealing with everything, from shortages of raw materials like steel and aluminum, to the inability to ship component kits worth thousands of dollars because they can’t get a 10 cent screw.
Additionally, the group provides examples on how they’re responding to soaring costs and what racers can do to improvise, adapt, and overcome these challenges by using different parts combinations, thinking creatively and working with suppliers and builders to develop new innovations for the racing community.
