For episode 35, Lake Speed Jr heads over to Driven Racing Oil HQ to see fellow Certified Lubrication Specialist Bill Alexander and drill into everything you need to know about motor oil.
During the session Lake and Bill cut through the gobs of oil myths on the Internet, and go through the three basics everyone should know about oil: viscosity, zinc and additives. Along the way they settle the “synthetic versus conventional” debate (hint: it’s all in your application), and teach you what you really should be focused on with your oil.
After the session, Lake heads back in studio where he’s joined by Chuck Lynch, Ben Strader, Billy Godbold, Mike Mucha, and Joe Castello for a little QA with the audience, and a roundtable discussion on measurement standards, and best practices for building winning engines.
