Going back to one of our last sessions in Expo 2021, we head back in studio where Joe Castello and Lake Speed Jr take us through the whys and hows of setting ring end gaps.
Lake breaks down the purpose of those end gaps and tells us how to figure out what the ring end gap should be based on the type of motor you’re building.
He also talks about the right tools for the job and demonstrates by setting the ring end gap on a gas ported piston.
Along the way he also provides some tips that make the task easier, and how you can gain power by dialing around your ring end gap.
