During the discussion we learn why the guys only use combustion analysis as a development tool that helps them when they’re trying to move the ball, but not on an everyday basis.
We also learn why they focus on pressure instead of power, and why in-cylinder pressure (in the words of Billy Godbold) “disrobes everyone.” Knowing what every component is robbing from the others is key to tuning the engine, perfecting pressure and moving the vehicle down the track.
