In part 2 of the Seat & Guide Machining, (part 1 is here) we return to the studio where Chris Straub *was* supposed to talk with Nathan Higgins of Higgins Race Heads. But technical difficulties patching him in from Australia prevented it.
So instead, the legendary John Callies jumped in to talk about his contribution to the Pontiac racing program and the evolution of today’s cylinder head.
Along the way Callies reveals a few fun and interesting stories, including the fierce rivalry between Chevy and Pontiac, as well as how the big block wound up in a Pontiac in the first place (hint: Canadians were involved).
